Project Duration and Opening Ceremony

On June 12, 2020, the foundation stone was ceremoniously laid for the Zom Dairy Factory in the Mergasor district of Erbil Governorate, Kurdistan Region. This symbolic event marked the beginning of a transformative project that would redefine the region’s dairy industry. Subsequent years witnessed relentless efforts to construct a state-of-the-art dairy facility, culminating in the official inauguration on May 30, 2023. The esteemed Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, accompanied by Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources Begard Talabani, unveiled Zom Dairy as the largest dairy factory in the district, reflecting cutting-edge technology, community impact, and a commitment to sustainable growth. The Factory exemplifies the harmonious blend of technology, environmental consciousness, and community welfare.
